How about this guy???
It seems like just yesterday when we began working with Cole and Heidi in 2006. He was an aspiring minor leaguer with low back problems. She was a reality TV star and now a full time college student. We talked about the weather in Philadelphia, his new wife and best friend Heidi, and making the 40 man roster of the “big” team. Heidi was excited to finally finish her Master’s degree.
Since then, he has earned his spot on the starting rotation, a World Series Championship, and was the MVP for both the NLCS and the World Series. Heidi has started the Hamels Foundation, which is building a school that will house, clothe, educate, and help African women and girls thus helping them change the cycle of abuse and the spreading of AIDS. With Spring Training 2009 in full swing, Cole, Heidi and the family are back in the Tampa Bay area and we are reunited for another season. We still talk about the weather, surfing, soccer, and our families. Success hasn’t changed either of them one bit, and honestly, it really couldn’t have happened to a more down to earth and deserving family.
