Dr. Jason Deitch and his new book: Discover Wellness

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

This is one of many news interviews that I have recently seen getting posted on the internet more and more regarding a chiropractor named Dr. Jason Deitch, promoting his book called Discover Wellness. What’s funny is that in other interviews, he is clearly describing chiropractic without saying chiropractic, subluxation, or adjustment. I’m sure is was due to the request of the tv station, but in this interview, he’s clearly not hesitant to reveal that he is a chiropractor.

The difference that his book has compared to other chiropractor’s published books is his unique perspective on health and how it effects your personal wealth. Where other chiropractor’s are focused primarily on shoving chiropractic philosophy down the readers throat, similar to what we have to endure in chiropractic school, he is promoting good health via practical and common sense methods that people understand. money. and how much we spend of it correcting conditions we develop because of our own complacency with our health, instead of saving money by being proactive with our health to create and maintain true wellness, in body and pocketbook.

Antomy lesson Schoolhouse Rocks style.

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

I just loved Schoolhouse Rocks when I was a kid, and a couple of weeks ago i posted a video on the nervous system called telegraph line. This week, milling over the fine Schoolhouse Rocks gems I found this beauty and decided to give you a second anatomy lesson. If you don’t remember the first lesson, please click here, it is a video of Ainsley, my now 6 and a half year old daughter, giving me an anatomy lesson in my office. :)

As I mentioned from the last Schoolhouse Rocks video that I posted, I wish that going to chiropractic school was this easy, because most of the time, I was definitely confused. LOL. for all my older friends and patients, that means “laugh out loud” in text language, dually pointed out to me by a 15 year old girl that thought being 30 was having one foot in the grave. Forever and a day that I have been texting, (actually only a year or so), I always thought it meant “lots of love”…and I always thought it was odd that my guy friends would send the LOL to me…ooops, i stand corrected.

Highlights from Asian 5 Nations Division 3 Final

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

I just got this video from one of the many photographers / videographers that were present at the Asian 5 Nations Division 3 final. It’s kinda raw, but once you watch it, even if you’ve never seen rugby before, you’ll get the plot of the story. They even put a cool track behind it so it seems as if it is a proper highlight reel.

I hope you enjoyed watching my daily video diaries from this trip as much as I enjoyed making it. If you haven’t seen it, go back a few posts and you can experience the days and nights I experience every year when I leave the office for this competition.

Next stop, Burnei in October and Malaysia in November…don’t worry, I’ll take you with me again :)

Chiropractic as a TV commercial…

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

I was recently prompted by a couple of my patients and colleagues about new chiropractic commericals that they have just seen. Immediately, my mind went to the local productions that i have seen that makes the doctor or his clinic look, well amateur, the marketing directed to something other than chiropractic to get patients in the door, or even worse, makes our profession look no different than the local used car salesman, all about the sale by offering this or that.

Then i saw these ones…wow. i was really impressed by not only the direct nature that they are marketing for chiropractic, but the artistic quality that the each of the commercials have. Now i haven’t seen any of these kind of commercials here in Tampa, but what an incredible boost for the image of our profession and better marketing for us as legit doctors if more commercials were like these ones were on the tube.
