How we keep ourselves and our kids healthy in this freezing weather…

Vitamin D and it’s benefits have been researched and documented for many years. In a recent paper I read published by Mayo clinic, 150 patients with persistent non-specific musculoskeletal pain, 93 percent were vitamin D deficient. And there are new studies out there that are now showing not only adults, but children are deficient in vitamin D. The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey published that 70 percent of young Americans under 21 and 73 percent of adults had low vitamin D levels.

In our clinic, we see more cases of chronic pain, fatigue and sickness during the first quarter of any year because of a very stressful last quarter with Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s eve. Just think, we eat worse, we stress ourselves with mass travel and annoying family visiting, and don’t even get me started on the financial stress of Black Friday or Christmas…

So what’s the point? Well, if you want to keep yourself and your family healthy year round, start supplementing with vitamin D, it’s a small investment for the only thing you can’t trade in life, your health. duh.
