Legal performance enhancement at the Olympics?

I don’t know who produced this video, but it is a great outlook on what and why a sports chiropractor does for the athletes, especially during competitions. Oregon chiropractor, Dr. Ted Forcum, treats US athletes in the Olympics as part of USOC medical staff, and without doubt is in Vancouver keeping our athletes performing, and is also probably burning the candle at both ends making that happen until this Sunday, February 28th, when the 2010 Winter Olympics come to a close.

I love this piece because it shows how much Dr. Forcum loves the athletes not only for what they do for our country in their respective sport, but for them as people. The key phrase of his very small narrative that I cued into right away was the phrase “performance enhancement”. It is quite often that chiropractic gets misunderstood for just being pain relief for neck and back pain, but Dr. Forcum does a short, but sweet delivery of what we really do for all of our patients, and how it is beneficial in the athletic realm.

For serving our country by treating the greatest athletes in the world, we salute you and say thank you, Dr. Ted Forcum.
